MANHATTAN
3 parts Michter’s Bourbon, Sour Mash, American Whiskey or Rye
1 part vermouth
Stir with ice and strain, garnish with a cherry.

PERFECT MANHATTAN
3 parts Michter’s Bourbon, Sour Mash, American Whiskey, or Rye
½ part dry vermouth
½ part sweet vermouth
Stir all ingredients with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with an orange peel.

WHISKEY SOUR
Michter’s Bourbon, Sour Mash, American Whiskey or Rye
Fresh lemon juice
Simple syrup

OLD FASHIONED
Michter’s Bourbon, Sour Mash, American Whiskey or Rye
Splash of simple syrup, agave nectar, or 1 sugar cube and just enough water to dissolve it.
2 dashes bitters

Michters whiskey-cocktail

MINT JULEP
Michter’s Bourbon
4 to 6 sprigs of mint
2 sugar cubes
Put bourbon, mint, and sugar into the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Muddle to dissolve sugar and blend mint leaves: let stand for a bit. Add ice, and shake well to chill, strain into a glass of shaved ice.

GRAPE AND GRAIN
2 parts Michter’s Sour Mash
7 green grapes
1/2 part simple syrup
1 dash lemon juice
In a cocktail shaker muddle the grapes to a purée, add Michter’s Sour Mash, simple syrup, and lemon juice. Fill with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled and double strain into an ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.

COLA MASH
1 part Michter’s Sour Mash
2 parts Coca-cola
In an ice filled rocks glass, combine both ingredients and garnish with a lime.

JIVE TURKEY
Glass: Coupe
Garnish: Apple Chip
2 oz Michters Bourbon
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz ginger syrup
.5 oz maple syrup
2 thin slices of apple
Muddle apple. Add bourbon, lemon ginger syrup and maple syrup, shake & double strain into coupe glass.
Top with ginger foam.

Michter's whiskey cocktail

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY
Glass: Coupe
2 oz Michters Rye
½ oz simple syrup
3 dashes creole bitters
1 tsp Absinthe
Chill rocks glass. Spray with Absinthe. Stir & strain into glass. Add lemon twist.

OCTOPUS’S GARDEN

Garnish: orange twist
1.5 oz Michters Bourbon
1 oz orange marmalade syrup
.5 oz lemon juice
Pinch of cinnamon
2 dashes of orange bitters
Stir & double strain into Martini glass

EARLY TO RYES

2 oz Michter’s Rye
1 oz earl grey sweet vermouth
dash of grapefruit bitters
dash of peychauds bitters.

APPLE FRAPPE
2 parts Michter’s Sour Mash
11⁄2 parts apple cider
3⁄4 parts lime juice
1⁄2 part orgeat syrup
In an ice filled shaker combine all ingredients, shake until well chilled. Strain into a crushed ice filled highball or Collins glass and garnish with apple slices and a dash of aromatic bitters.

Michters whiskey Cocktail

PATRIOT PUNCH
1 bottle Michter’s Rye
1 bottle soda water or ginger ale
Lemon juice
Simple syrup
Large block of ice (freeze water overnight in a rectangular/square plastic container)
In a pitcher combine bottle of rye, lemon juice and simple syrup and stir.
Place block of ice in a punch bowl and pour in rye, lemon juice, and simple syrup mixture.
Top with soda water or ginger ale and stir.
Garnish with lemon peels.

SAZERAC
2 parts Michter’s American Whiskey or Rye
Three dashes of Peychaud’s bitters
One sugar cube or 1 tsp or simple syrup or agave nectar
Absinthe
Lemon peel
Ice
Fill either an old fashioned or rocks glass with ice and water to chill the glass.
In a second glass, muddle the sugar cube, simple syrup or agave nectar and combine with the bitters. Add the rye to this mixture and stir.
Empty the glass that was filled with ice and rinse the glass with absinthe, discard extra.
Pour in the rye, sugar, and bitters mixture into the coated glass.
Twist a lemon peel over the glass and rub the rim with the peel.
Place peel in cocktail.

BROOKLYN
2 parts Michter’s Rye or Bourbon
¾ part dry vermouth
1/8 part orange bitter cordial
Stir in a mixing glass with ice, and strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a cocktail cherry.

DERBY
1 part Michter’s Bourbon or American Whiskey
½ part sweet vermouth
½ part orange curacao
¾ part fresh lime juice
Shake in an iced cocktail shaker, and strain into a cocktail glass.
Add a mint leaf.

ALGONQUIN
1-1/2 parts Michter’s Rye
¾ part dry vermouth
¾ part pineapple juice
Shake in an iced cocktail shaker, and strain into a cocktail glass.

Michters-whiskey-cocktail

AVENUE
1 part Michter’s Bourbon
1 part Calvados
1 part passion fruit juice (or nectar)
1 part real pomegranate grenadine
1 dash orange flower water
Shake in an iced cocktail shaker, and strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a carnation boutonniere.

THE BOULEVARDIER
1-1/2 parts Michter’s Bourbon
1 part Italian bitter spirit
1 part sweet vermouth
Stir long and well with ice in a mixing glass and strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a cherry.

THE BLINKER
2 parts Michter’s Rye
1 part grapefruit juice
2 bar spoons raspberry syrup
Shake in an iced cocktail shaker, and strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a lemon twist.

The LION’S TAIL
2 parts Michter’s Bourbon
¾ part spiced rum
½ part fresh lime juice
½ tablespoon simple syrup (or less, to taste)
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Shake in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a 5-ounce cocktail glass.

THUNDERBOLT
2 parts Michter’s Rye
1 part ginger syrup
Ginger beer
In an old fashioned glass stir rye and ginger syrup with ice.
Top with ginger beer.

MISSOURI MULE
Created for President Harry Truman who was born in Missouri.
1/4 Michter’s Bourbon
1/4 Applejack
1/4 Lemon Juice
1/8 Italian Bitters
1/8 Imported Triple Sec
Shake well and strain into glass.

RYE & TONIC
1 part Michter’s Rye
2 parts tonic water
Squeeze of lime juice
Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake well. Strain in old fashioned glass. If served “on the rocks,” strain ingredients into old fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with half orange slice and maraschino cherry.
